Make A List Check It Twice

Some key tips to get your store and staff – HOLIDAY READY

1. CHECK YOUR WEBSITE

Most likely your website will be visited before your store will. First impressions count! Does your site represent your brand? Does it clearly state store hours and parking availability?

Does your site load in three seconds? Is your site easy to find and navigate? And most importantly is the layout mobile friendly?

2. MAIL IT

Direct mail has a higher response rate than email, with a 3.7% response rate compared to email’s 1%. Direct mail can create a tangible connection with consumers, which can enhance brand recall. And after receiving direct mail, consumers are likely to visit the sender’s website or search for the brand online. Catalogs and magazines are the most popular direct mail formats. And direct mail is a great way to reach younger generations such as Gen Z.

3. MAKE YOUR STORE SPECIAL

What is it that makes your store special? Is it a unique brand that you carry, your broad selection of watches, or your Thursday night Happy Hour? Be sure to offer something unique and different and promote it everywhere and often.

4. CREATE GIFT GUIDES

Gift guides can help drive organic traffic from shoppers who are already looking for gift ideas. Emails that feature gift guides generate higher sales compared to other promotional emails. An online gift guide is the perfect way to attract purchases from early-season shoppers, inspire last-minute shoppers, and convert browsers into customers. Why not add a gift guide to your websites landing page for easy access and exposure?

5. TRAIN TRAIN AND RETRAIN

Don’t assume that your staff knows every brand or collection in your store –

Let each team member “sell” to another sales associate. Be sure that everyone knows how to correctly pronounce brand names and knows all store policies, hours etc. These simple things can go a long way when things get busy!
